WE DO LOVE a good airline Twitter row. (They happen surprisingly often, too. Keep ‘em coming, lads.)
Earlier today, Scandinavian airline Norwegian Air launched new routes from Dublin, Cork and Shannon to the US for as low as €69. Well now.
The catch? No free checked baggage, no free meal, and no preclearance – plus, you’ll probably be landing in some unusual airports (like Stewart International Airport, 60 miles from Manhattan).
Aer Lingus were kind enough to point this out.
Turning their own slogan on themselves! Aer Lingus, that’s cold. They even had words with a customer who dared to suggest it might be a good deal:
Norwegian tried to pull the old “Ha thanks for the free advertising” shtick, but it didn’t work. Aer Lingus were just not going to let them have it.
The ‘thinking man’ emoji! Saucer of milk for Aer Lingus, please.
